I was pouring honey into two glasses of raspberry tea when the honey began to flow over the side. I licked up what was the most sugary thing ever. Resting afterwards I started to think about snack foods and food in general. The amount of sugar that entered my bloodstream with such intensity was probably not quantitavely different from the amount of sugar consumed in a pack of Skittles, much like the ones that my kids receive from the camp cantene. It is the way that the Skittles are eaten though, that makes the Skittles qualitatively of less intensity than the globs of honey.
This got me to thinking about ways to eat. The Japanese people seem so dead right in this regard. Maybe the food that they eat is supposed to be very healthy for us, but the way that they eat is where they seem to get the most benefit from; even their snacks are fun to eat because of our ability to handle them. Sushi is another obvious example of how their presentation of their food is dead on, because its a full meal in a package.

Anyway, this is a pretty weird blog that was too motivated by the erroneous globs of sugar.
