Typical conversation

The campers have been really loud after our lunches together. Ryan and I are reading or relaxing. Mac is a unit counselor who sleeps in our bunk. This is a typical conversation in B-1.

Mac: Can you guys try to quiet down, this is rest hour now.
Campers: No No No! Shreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeak!
Mac: OK, that was a terrible, terrible noise. Please don't do that again.
Campers: Shreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeak!
Mac: Honestly I don't know how you can make that sound. Please be quiet.
Campers: No.
Mac: What if when I say a special word, you all stop talking?
Campers: OK
Mac: How about "Now it's quiet time?"
Campers: Shreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeak!
Mac: Oh my god.
Campers: Say potato butt!
Mac: Potato butt.
Camper: When you say Mister Potato butt, we will all be quiet.
Mac: Good. Potato butt.
Camper: But what if we want each other to quiet down? Then we should say Padiddle.
Mac: Fine, just quiet down.
Camper: But if a camper is talking and says "Paddidle", but a counselor wants us to be quiet the counselor can say Mister potato butt and that overrules the rule of "Padiddle" and we have to be quiet.
Campers: Shreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeak!

This kind of conversation goes on and on and on every day - oh my dears, what will we do.
