So, we got these small blue forms in our mailboxes today. They were the counselor and unit request forms for session three, which begins on Sunday and follows the conclusion of session two this Friday.
When I walked from the office this morning, a "cornerstone" counselor - one who has been in the counselor position for three years - named Noah told me that he listed me as one of his requests. That felt good to hear. He is respected by most people in camp and would be a fun co to work with. Also, my friend Andrew whom I met before anyone else at Tawonga told me he listed me as his first request.
My day off is tomorrow, which precedes the two day session break this weekend by only two days. It would have been nicer to have this day off earlier in this session, but I think it will be a good chance to feel rejuvenated and relaxed, regardless. I'm considering going to the bay area and seeing SF, go shopping at Trader Joe's, meet my family in Concord, or just staying here and blogging all day.
For the session break I think I'm going to go backpacking in Yosemite - although it will be among the busiest weekends, in what is a popular and can be busy National Park to begin with.
