What's in a blog
The sports kids are solid, and it feels good to be playing sports again. On a lesser note, before time off that just began I was "on duty" for 54 consecutive hours, except for two hours of time off. To explain, I arrived at camp from the days off over session break this past Sunday. Work began at 12 pm - from 12 until 4 we got ready for the campers so that is a busy time, it isn't just hanging until the buses pull into the driveway. Next we're with our kids through that night because we sleep in the bunk. Next there was another full day followed by staying with the kids at night again - the first night both counselors are in the bunk instead of the usual time off from 10 to midnight, followed by a night with one of the two counselors, followed by one more night with the counselor who didn't stay in the previous night. Yesterday was punctuated with two hours of time off throughout the day, followed by eighteen hours today of time on - don't really think about the math I suppose. Anyway, these first days have been like this throughout the summer and woah, it challenges.
