Yawn

Read a review of the new Yahoo mail in today's Wall Street Journal - it seems that the author thinks that Yahoo mail is better than Gmail, for the reasons that it's less web-based, like Outlook, that it doesn't group emails into conversations, and that you get unlimited storage instead of Google's three gigabytes. Frankly, those are the same reasons that I like Gmail and it sort of hurts when I see Gmail talked down to. Google probably shouldn't take over the whole world anyway. The thing about Yahoo is that it's never had and doesn't have the chance to lose completely to Google's dominance; there's too much that Yahoo does well that Google does not, or just doesn't do at all. For example Flickr is the easiest and best picture-sharing online application and the games available through Yahoo like Chess are really good.

Yawn. This is the week of the Burning Man festival in Nevada. Haven't heard of it? That's okay, but read a bit about it if you haven't, because it's pretty interesting. Lots of Tawonga people go to it, and many of these people including my session one coworker Dylan will be, or is already, at La Playa. Si, right. Aaron Mandel worked initially as a CIT (stands for counselor-in-training) leader then co-led a to Israel through Camp Tawonga. I came across his blog here - through that blog I discovered the link to this unbelievable story. In odd news have you seen the video of 'Miss Teen South Carolina' fudging an answer to a question about maps? If not I won't link to it here, cuz I feel bad for her. But heck, here's her answer transcripted:
I personally believe the U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps and I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and the Iraq everywhere like such as and I believe they should our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa or should help the Iraq and Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for us.
Ahh, yep.

Right-o.
