Show me the hedgehogs

After discussing this in the staff office, most people believe there is rhyme and reason to these - for example, ferrets and rabbits are known to reproduce quickly. Is the "Hamster/Gerbil" a hybrid?
"As student workers prepare to move from Dorland this weekend, and others begin returning to campus for work contracts, training or other reasons, this is a reminder to all students that there is a new pet policy in effect for this year.

* Cats and dogs are specifically prohibited from being in all residence halls on campus.
* Dogs may not be tethered on residence hall porches or decks.
* Pets are permitted in residence halls only under the following
conditions:
* They are kept in a standard cage or tank at all times.
* Maximum 1 cage or 10-gallon tank per student, cage not to exceed 3
ft. in length, 2 ft. in width, 2 ft. in height.
* Cages are to be made only of metal, plastic or glass.
* Cages are to be kept clean at all times.
* No rabbits, ferrets or birds.
* Pets are never permitted in any common areas.

The following pets are permitted:
* Fish (max. 10 gallon tank)
* Hamsters/Gerbils
* Guinea pigs
* Hedgehogs
* Domesticated mice and rats
* Lizards
* Non-venomous snakes and spiders
* Non-snapping turtles"
Did we just see your turtle snap? That is out, baby! I'm mixed about this camp session ending (this Friday) and about Warren Wilson starting up this soon (this Monday), about autumn sort of starting in, about the wedding this weekend (it's now t-minus two days).
