The Asheville Symphony's Valentines Show

Americans are bringing their own food to the Beijing Olympics (nytimes)

There is something ironic about that and I think it speaks to the creation of our countries own food culture, for the first time, it seems. The head chef for the U.S. Olympic team how the athletes need the best food to perform their best, and eating organic and natural and blah, blah - but it is telling about where our country has gone and how far we've come, in that regard.

I saw the Asheville Symphony last night, it was actually better than I thought, as my attention span is actually equivalent to a four-year-old, and after my Intro. Music class I understood a bit of what was going on, key changes and so on. I'm a cultured boy. So is he, the conductor (or, director as it was written) for the orchestra, Daniel Meyer. Good company, hooray and all that to that.
