New 100 Things list (uh, 50 things)

So, realistically, tallying up 100 things to own is more neurotic than helpful. Keeping the spirit but bending it a bit, I want something more along the lines of.. 40 groups. The idea then is next time I have the chance to buy - a camera, a new Ipod - or have a free water bottle at a soccer tournament, a giveaway DVD, a new notepad - it is either considered to be a part of an existing group, so it will have to prove its worth to be there, or it has to be its own item, which is, uh, not something I'd want to do. Here goes v. 2.0.

1. Books
2. Clothes
3. Cooking utensils and knives
4. Car
5. Soccer referee stuff
6. Soccer playing stuff
7. Laptop
8. Camera
9. Other camera
10. Thermos bottle
11. Sigg bottle
12. Starbucks mug
13. Textbooks
14. Watch
15. Cell phone

32. Coffee-making stuff
33. Camping stuff, tent, headlamp
34. Office stuff, letters, scissors
35. Towels
36. Fan
37. Rugs

40. Ipod
41. Microwave
42. Wallet
43. Backpack
44. Candles, incense, holders
45. Memorabilia: Washington Monument Thermometer, Steel compass, Buddha

I'm sure I'm missing things; but If I can keep my possessions to less than 50 groups - and then within each group be as conservative as possible - It won't be too bad. I hope to cut down on all the crap sitting around: newspapers I pick up, things I buy on impulse, etc. If I can provide for it already, then I don't need something else - be creative about it!
