Some important tales were passed over, as I did not bring the power cord for my iMac. And after three hours on the "Corridor" train, from Quebec to Windsor (of course passing through Montreal and Toronto) I asked a guy up one row and to the left for his iMac power cord, to which he agreed. Now I am back on this fond attachment. Stories await about a Latin festival, Polish pierogies, and Mount Royal.
Mount Royal is a big mountain in the middle of the island city. It is 700 feet from the base to top and John and I climbed directly to the top via the steep front.
The neighborhood of Outremont is mostly ethnic, and orthodox Jewish and Italian. Here we found a Polish restaurant that offered us Borscht and pierogie - great place.
A street nearby the neighborhood where we stayed is bordered by six tennis courts and a turf soccer pitch. Right beyond these are an open field where music was played. Exactly what we were looking for on Sunday night.
