Ann Arbor and preparing!

I'm in Ann Arbor today, volunteering in about twenty minutes with the Barack Obama campaign downtown. Earlier this morning I took a little run and it felt nice.

I've never volunteered for anything political before. I'll write about my experiences later.

John and I are getting closer to the drive to Toronto. Fortunately due to cousins and friends, we'll have places to stay for those few days.

Then after returning, I'm visiting my cousin Ryan in Chicago, then turning south to UNC-A. The principal thing which I was concerned with, transfer credit, has gone well. I've now specific meetings with advisors in both the education and biology departments, to prepare for scheduling.

Plus, I sent my deposit in. This feels so much like being a freshman once again in some ways, though also so much has changed.

My younger brother Aaron leaves for Boston University about a week after I drive to the south. He's playing soccer there! One of the best teams in the country for division 1 soccer.

My poor parents!

One final note, arranging and playing soccer at home has been great. Last night we started at about 7:45 after a weird weather evening, and played until nightfall. Then I joined my friends Joel and Adam, and Adam's younger brother Squeak at 7-11. Although it is no different from your dime-a-dollar gas station there is something to like about a neighborhood (ok, it's a big corporation) 7-11.

Ok, enough of this self-indulgent blog. I am feeling more secure with UNC-A, if you're out there wondering! Those I've spoken with at WWC have assuaged (I heard this word pronounced on Michigan Public Radio today in a very odd way). But more on all this later.
