Weird-alien-land

I meant to write about the south. Alabama is really different from Michigan, and also different from North Carolina. It is not weird-alien-land different, but it is foreign country different. What differences? The texture of the environment is changed. It is just like foreign travel when you feel like your head is in a different place. The world reacts to you differently than you are used to.
