I read in the NYtimes last evening that with the rise of China the United States is becoming what Europe was to the US; second fiddle, slower, but also more stable and more established as a country.
That is hella interesting.
Then today I read in the Times that the United States will become the largest consumer of wine: in the whole freaking world (Read the article about boxed wines)!
Life is different now than it was pre 9/11. Duh. But life's gradual change is an odd thing in which to take part, and I'm not always sure that better or worse are clear-cut.
Unimportant and perhaps ostensibly Black Box wines are my personal choice.
